Yes and it's delicious
Fantastic blend on Irish authenticity and American comforts. Fantastic food, flowing beer, and fresh sports, all ready to go.
The corned beef, which is made in house, was probably the best tasting corned beef I have ever had.The atmosphere is tasteful Irish pub decor.Don't miss out on the half price happy hour drinks and food specials.
My wife and i came across this place while on vacation last year, had a great time.food was delicious. Bartender was very outgoing and friendly. Definitely would come back.
This is our favorite place to visit in Dunedin. They have it all - awesome attentive staff, great food and drink options that are always served with a smile. Make sure you visit when Cage is on stage!
It was great! So glad they are open again! Did was amazing and the service was so very friendly!
Cheers on a small scale. Great fish and chips and some Founders All Day IPA to wash them down. Thanks John, for the great service while we were in town visiting family.
As always, this place is awesome! Crowded as hell, but the service was great! I always come in for drinks when there's an event downtown, they never fail to please me. I'll always come back, thanks. Peace.
Always fun at Flanagan's. Jason and staff are the greatest !!! Welcome back.
Jason, the owner is a special guy with a great attitude toward pleasing his patrons. The kind of guy that make you feel like family. This place will be a first stop when the covid shutdowns are over.
When the word Pub is used in the name you expect this type of place. No frills watering hole with a small compact menu that does the trick after a few pints. I came on a afternoon and it was kind of dead until a local baseball game finished and a crowd came. I'd like to come on a weekend night when it's a party. Must be fun.
Not that good I'm afraid, read some good reviews but can't see it myself, food overpriced, food over microwaved, portions small for price paid Other eateries around, my opinion try them first.... disappointed
Absolutely fantastic. One server, John, who did the work of four was awesome! Great food! Even with 20+ people in the pub, John had our drinks and food delivered promptly. Pleasant surprise to get the happy hour tab at the end. Will definitely go back!
Good food and a good atmosphere. Great service too.
An Irish Pub with full liquor, pub grub and a variety of brews. They were out of a beer advertised in their front window :( We've had some good burgers here...and the place does have a lively atmosphere at times (Musician Frankie Raye is amazing). The mix of high-tops and regular tables feels awkward...and the bar you sit at needs to be bigger. Nice place, but needs to be redesigned...and well stocked!
Great food, live entertainment. I had the Shepard's Pie in a bread bowl and my husband had the Fish and Chips. Lovely flavor to the pie, the Gouda cheese added an extra pop to the taste. Would definitely return for another visit.
Relaxed to rowdy spot for great local music and laughs. Drink deals and jello shots almost all the time. Quick bites available too. One of the few places in Dunedin serving spirits, very important.
Clean as always and friendly knowledgeable staff. Food is always good. Steak tips highly recommended
Our server, Austin, was spectacular. I went during the Christmas parade, and it was a very busy time, but Austin handled things so well. He was very attentive and kind, and always had a smile of his face.
One of my absolute favourite places in Dunedin. Always welcoming, the food is wonderful, and they have great entertainment. I love kicking off my weekend here. And Saint Patricks Day is extra special here.
Cute little Irish Bar and restaurant. The Ruben is made exactly how it should be and the bartender/server is very friendly and attentive.
Popped in on $5 burger night. Paired a pint of Guiness on tap with one of the best burgers I've had in a long time and the bartenders were fun and friendly. I definitely recommend eating or drinking at Flanagan's if you find yourself in the area.
Great American-Irish pub! Excellent food, killer happy hour, good prices! If it is your first time at an Irish pub, you may find the menu prices to feel a little high. However, you will not be disappointed once you see the portion sizes! Come hungry and with friends, share a few apps and in enjoy the vibes. Somehow, this was our first time visiting Flanagan's, and we regret not trying them sooner. It will most definitely become a regular spot for us. Special shout out to our server Jason on 10/21/2019 for beyond amazing customer service!
Friendly staff , bangers and hash , braughtwurst and shepards pie were fantastic . Every one in our group loved this place
Love this place. And the chicken curry soup was amazing with my Guinness!!
Great place! Irish coffee was wonderful!
GET THE PRETZEL AND BEER CHEESE!!!! SO GOOD
It's a nice Irish local place! The beer is cold and the food good.
Me and my fiance love coming here every time we come to Dunedin. Jason the owner is one of a kind 😀He always has a smile and is very inviting and hospitable to us both. We love this place !
Loved the atmosphere <3 really good beer on tap!
Marilyn is a very special server, with a great personality, and attentive! The best!
Excellent drinks, food and servers! Try the Jalapeno Pimento Spread and crackers 😍😍
Food here is excellent. I asked for a medium well burger and that is what I got. The Dublin Burger was a highly delicious burger. Egg on it fried well and not runny. Fries are crisp and meaty. Chicken wings 50 cents each on Mondays. Seasoned well.I do have a criticism. A ataff member, manager or owner was yelling with a deep roar things like "Star Wars." It felt a bit inconsiderate since we were dining and trying to hold conversation and not attending a party. It was deep riveting roar like yelling that filled the entire environment. Early about 7:00 pm ish on a Monday. My initial take was he was making a statement about not caring much about dining customers but that what it is is a big party. Maybe that is how eating pubs just are in Ireland??? Good for young crowd. Food was excellent though.
Beer Cheese and Pretzels were a great choice for an appetizer. Great Reuben sandwich. Friendly staff.
Update: New owners and new menu items. Bartender mentioned they are redoing the bathrooms and bar in late March!Staff is cool and live entertainment was good. Decent little Irish joint with a great drink selection. Ambiance is really good and seems to have a nice friendly local crowd.
The food is always great and the atmosphere is cozy. The only thing that drops it from 5 stars is the sometimes very slow service. Don't get me wrong, they do take care of you but sometimes the service starts off slow, like they notice you 10 minutes after the fact, but, also that is not always the case. Everything else about the place makes up for the sometimes slow start to your service. Still, I would highly recommend eating, drinking, and just hanging out and having a good time here!
After a recent few weeks of driving the countryside of Ireland I developed quick a taste for Guinness Stout Porter! Dropped by Flanagan's in Dunedin for a pint & glad that I did. The Bartender drew me tall nice pint & I enjoyed the comfortable environment & very friendly staff. Today was about the Guinness, but Next time, fish & chips or maybe the Blarney Burger! Returned this week & got my Blarney burger & pub chips (and a few more pints of Guinness!) Burger & chips were great! Not just some frozen meat party. The chips were really good. I added malt vinegar & rate them a 10! Fellow bar patrons were very friendly & the Bar Tender, John is an excellent host!
Great place for food, drinks and live music with an Irish atmosphere. This place is definitely one of the highlights of downtown Dunedin. If want a more authentic Irish music experience then this is definitely the place. Music is fun but low key enough to have a conversation. I definitely recommend it!
Not only is this an awesome Irish pub but they make the best pickle fries.
Amazing place for a pint of Guinness and some great entertainment!
Get there early. Food was delicious, followed by great entertainment and standing room only. Such a great atmosphere with great friends!
Jason and his wife took over this Irish pub and made it into a fine place to dine.
Not ADA compatible, no easy access. Friendly place with good service. My companion praised their Shepards Pie.
Poutine was very good burgers were excellent.
Cosy delicious and a true gem. Irish fare with a twist. Super friendly wait staff.
Outstanding specials on draft and bottled beers. Really interesting items on the menu. I had a burger will fill pickel fries and both were great.
Nice place have lunch their, nice people and good food and Beer
Great place to meet up with friends . Cage is s great entertainer!
I'll let you know after I sober up. I love drinking two pints at Flanigan's, Guinness is the best fresh tap Every time I go there. I walk in there as a Puerto Rican walk out as an Irish Puerto Rican.LOL The soups are great. Food is good.
Stopped in for dinner on Thursday night. Customer appreciation was underway and drinks were half price. Fish and chips were the evening special. Fish was excellent but wanted another piece. Large amount of French fries. Music was way too loud. Companion and servers could barely hear us.
Flanagan's was rockin with Irish Green on Saturday, a great Pub always. 🍀🍺
